Virginia High School Basketball - Alleghany can't hold off Glenvar

The Glenvar Highlanders basketball team scored 37 points and held the visiting Alleghany Cougars to 33 in the Highlanders non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Highlanders now sport a 5-13 record. They put it on the line next when they host Salem for a non-league contest on Monday, February 12. Glenvar will battle a Spartans team coming off a 41-17 non-league loss to Pulaski County (Dublin, VA). The Spartans record now stands at 12-8.
The Cougars (1-15) will now prepare for their contest against Radford (Radford, VA). The Bobcats enter the non-league contest with a 4-12 record. In their last contest, Radford was nudged by Carroll County (Hillsville, VA), 43-14, in a non-league contest.
