In Monday's league contest, the visiting Petoskey Northmen basketball team scored a big 81-56 win over the Alpena Wildcats.

The Northmen (10-9) will now prepare for their contest against Gaylord (Gaylord, MI). The Blue Devils come into the Big North contest with a 6-10 record.

In their next game, the Wildcats meet the Traverse City Central Trojans (Traverse City, MI) in a Big North battle, on Tuesday, February 11. Alpena will attempt to advance on its 5-13 season record. The Trojans enter the battle with a 11-4 record after their 54-40 non-league win over Coopersville (Coopersville, MI).
