The Illinois Valley Cougars basketball team scored 70 points and limited the host Gold Beach Panthers to 42 in the Cougars league triumph on Monday.

The Cougars now possess a 13-9 record. They play next when they travel to Myrtle Point for a 2A Sunset game on Tuesday, February 11. Illinois Valley will confront a Bobcats team coming off a 48-37 league loss to Bandon (Bandon, OR). The Bobcats record now stands at 3-20.

With the loss, Gold Beach falls to 11-8 on the campaign. The Panthers host Oakland (Oakland, OR) to confront the Oakers in a 2A Sunset game on Tuesday, February 11. The Oakers go into the game with a record of 19-4.
