The crowd at Monday's league challenge between the North Stanly Comets (New London, NC) and the host Gray Stone Day Knights (Misenheimer, NC), observed North Stanly's basketball team overwhelm Gray Stone Day by a score of 76-41.
The Comets (18-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Albemarle (Albemarle, NC). The Bulldogs come into the 1A/2A Yadkin Valley challenge with a 2-19 record. In their last challenge, Albemarle trounced Gray Stone Day (Misenheimer, NC), 55-37, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Knights battle the South Stanly Rowdy Rebel Bulls (Norwood, NC) in a 1A/2A Yadkin Valley challenge, on Tuesday, February 11. Gray Stone Day will attempt to improve on its 3-15 season record. The Rowdy Rebel Bulls come into the challenge with a 15-7 record after their 55-48 league win over Union Academy (Monroe, NC).
