The Poquoson Islanders were victorious over the visiting Jamestown Eagles basketball squad by a final score of 55-44 in Monday's league outing.
Next, the Islanders face the Lafayette Rams (Williamsburg, VA) in a Bay Rivers outing, on Wednesday, February 12. Poquoson will attempt to upgrade on its 2-14 season record. The Rams enter the outing with a 11-8 record after their 68-54 league win over Grafton (Yorktown, VA).
The Eagles (5-11) will now prepare for their outing against Bruton (Williamsburg, VA). The Panthers enter the Bay Rivers outing with a 14-5 record. In their last outing, Bruton ran past Smithfield (Smithfield, VA), 70-67, in a league outing.
