The Johnson County Longhorns basketball squad (Mountain City, TN), was nudged 69-68 in Monday's non-league battle with the host West Ridge Wolves (Blountville, TN)
With the victory, West Ridge advances its record to 12-9 on the year. The Wolves travel to Dobyns-Bennett (Kingsport, TN) to meet the Indians in a 4A District 1 battle on Friday, February 14. The Indians enter the battle with a record of 20-8. Dobyns-Bennett won 76-41 in their recent non-league battle against South Greene (Greeneville, TN)
The Longhorns now own a 12-16 record. They put it on the line next when they host Chilhowie for a non-league battle on Thursday, February 13. Johnson County will meet a Warriors squad coming off a 69-38 league win over Holston (Damascus, VA). The Warriors record now stands at 11-7.
