The Newburyport Clippers basketball team scored 65 points and limited the host Lynnfield Pioneers to 52 in the Clippers league triumph on Monday.
The Clippers now possess a 9-1 record. They play next when they host St. Mary's for a non-league game on Wednesday, February 12. Newburyport will confront a Spartans team coming off a 69-55 non-league win over East Boston (East Boston, MA). The Spartans record now stands at 19-1.
With the loss, Lynnfield falls to 12-5 on the campaign. The Pioneers travel to Triton Regional (Byfield, MA) to confront the Vikings in a Cape Ann - Large game on Wednesday, February 12. The Vikings go into the game with a record of 3-4.
