New York High School Basketball - New Paltz nips Saugerties

In Monday's league contest, the visiting New Paltz Huguenots basketball team scored a close 70-68 triumph over the Saugerties Sawyers.

The Huguenots (13-2) will now prepare for their contest against Wallkill (Wallkill, NY). The Panthers go into the Section 9 Mid Hudson I contest with a 5-12 record. In their last contest, Wallkill was tipped by Our Lady of Lourdes (Poughkeepsie, NY), 84-43, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Sawyers battle the Marlboro Central Dukes (Marlboro, NY) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, February 11. Saugerties will attempt to better on its 11-7 season record. The Dukes go into the contest with a 6-8 record after their 65-54 non-league win over Spackenkill (Poughkeepsie, NY).
