The crowd at Monday's league challenge between the Broad Run Spartans (Ashburn, VA) and the visiting John Champe Knights (Aldie, VA), observed Broad Run's basketball team knock off John Champe by a score of 41-29.

The Spartans (1-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Woodgrove (Purcellville, VA). The Wolverines go into the bout with a 8-9 record.

With the loss, John Champe falls to 7-12 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Loudoun County (Leesburg, VA) to play the Captains in a bout on Wednesday, February 12. The Captains go into the bout with a record of 3-1. Loudoun County won 37-32 in their recent league bout against Woodgrove (Purcellville, VA)
