South Caldwell Spartans (Hudson, NC) supporters left the game happy Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the host Ashe County Huskies (West Jefferson, NC), 75-63 in a league match.

With the victory, South Caldwell moves its record to 16-7 on the campaign. The Spartans host Hibriten (Lenoir, NC) to play the Panthers in a 3A/4A Northwestern bout on Friday, February 14. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 13-10. Hibriten lost 49-48 in their recent league bout against Alexander Central (Taylorsville, NC)

With the loss, Ashe County falls to 9-13 on the campaign. The Huskies travel to Watauga (Boone, NC) to play the Pioneers in a 3A/4A Northwestern bout on Friday, February 14. The Pioneers go into the bout with a record of 16-5. Watauga won 58-53 in their recent league bout against Freedom (Morganton, NC)
