In Monday's league contest, the visiting Volunteer Falcons basketball team scored a close 2-0 win over the Claiborne Bulldogs.
The Falcons (14-15) will now prepare for their contest against Greeneville (Greeneville, TN). The Greene Devils come into the 3A District 2 contest with a 16-9 record. In their last contest, Greeneville edged Grainger (Rutledge, TN), 63-48, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Bulldogs battle the Union County Patriots (Maynardville, TN) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, February 11. Claiborne will attempt to better on its 3-16 season record. The Patriots come into the contest with a 9-8 record after their 49-37 league loss to Scott (Huntsville, TN).
