The crowd at Monday's non-league challenge between the Wamego Red Raiders (Wamego, KS) and the visiting Independent Panthers (Wichita, KS), observed Wamego's basketball team overwhelm Independent by a margin of 52-13.

The Red Raiders (11-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Clay Center (Clay Center, KS). The Tigers come into the North Central Kansas challenge with a 13-3 record. In their last challenge, Clay Center trounced Valley Heights (Blue Rapids, KS), 62-58, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Panthers battle the Garden Plain Owls (Garden Plain, KS) in a Central Plains challenge, on Tuesday, February 11. Independent will attempt to better on its 2-10 season record. The Owls come into the challenge with a 8-7 record after their 45-43 league win over Medicine Lodge (Medicine Lodge, KS).
