The Musselman Applemen (Inwood, WV) basketball edged the visiting Jefferson Cougars (Shenandoah Junction, WV), 42-39 in Monday's league bout.
The Applemen now possess a 13-5 record. They play next when they host Washington for a Eastern Panhandle bout on Thursday, February 13. Musselman will play a Patriots team coming off a 48-39 league win over Martinsburg (Martinsburg, WV). The Patriots record now stands at 13-3.
With the loss, Jefferson falls to 2-12 on the campaign. The Cougars host Hedgesville (Hedgesville, WV) to play the Eagles in a Eastern Panhandle bout on Thursday, February 13. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 3-13. Hedgesville lost 61-37 in their recent league bout against Spring Mills (Martinsburg, WV)
