The Magoffin County Hornets basketball squad (Salyersville, KY), was crushed 68-33 in Monday's league battle with the visiting Johnson Central Golden Eagles (Paintsville, KY)
With the victory, Johnson Central advances its record to 20-3 on the year. The Golden Eagles host Floyd Central (Eastern, KY) to meet the Jaguars in a non-league battle on Thursday, February 13. The Jaguars enter the battle with a record of 15-7.
The Hornets now own a 5-18 record. They put it on the line next when they host Jenkins for a non-league battle on Tuesday, February 11. Magoffin County will meet a Cavaliers squad coming off a 62-11 non-league loss to Middlesboro (Middlesboro, KY). The Cavaliers record now stands at 1-17.
