Maryland High School Basketball - Mountain Ridge trounced by Southern

The Mountain Ridge Miners basketball squad (Frostburg, MD), was crushed 62-33 in Monday's league battle with the host Southern Rams (Oakland, MD)

With the victory, Southern advances its record to 17-2 on the year. The Rams host Elkins (Elkins, WV) to meet the Tigers in a non-league battle on Saturday, February 15. The Tigers enter the battle with a record of 10-7. Elkins won 48-29 in their recent league battle against Bridgeport (Bridgeport, WV)

The Miners now own a 11-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Shalom Christian Academy for a non-league battle on Thursday, February 13. Mountain Ridge will meet a Flames squad coming off a 55-25 non-league loss to Allegany (Cumberland, MD). The Flames record now stands at 16-5.
