In Monday's non-league contest, the host North Branford Thunderbirds basketball team scored a close 43-39 triumph over the Cromwell Panthers.
The Thunderbirds (2-1) will now prepare for their contest against Coginchaug Regional (Durham, CT). The Blue Devils go into the non-league contest with a 0-1 record.
In their next game, the Panthers confront the East Hampton Bellringers (East Hampton, CT) in a non-league contest, on Wednesday, February 12. Cromwell will attempt to better on its 2-3 season record. The Bellringers go into the contest with a 2-6 record after their 42-38 non-league loss to Morgan (Clinton, CT).
