East Wake Academy Eagles (Zebulon, NC) supporters left the game satisfied Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting Falls Lake Firebirds (Creedmoor, NC), 35-31 in a non-league match.
With the victory, East Wake Academy advances its record to 6-8 on the year.
The Firebirds now own a 6-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Franklin Academy for a non-league match on Thursday, February 13. Falls Lake will face a Patriots squad coming off a 48-24 non-league loss to Wake Prep Academy (Wake Forest, NC). The Patriots record now stands at 9-11.
