In Friday's league outing, the Yoakum Bulldogs (Yoakum, TX) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Palacios Sharks (Palacios, TX), by a count of 48-26.

The Bulldogs (4-15) will now prepare for their outing against Tidehaven (El Maton, TX). The Tigers go into the 3A Region IV District 28 outing with a 2-17 record. In their last outing, Tidehaven was crushed by Columbus (Columbus, TX), 59-48, in a league outing.

The Sharks now hold a 6-15 record. They play next when they travel to Edna for a 3A Region IV District 28 outing on Tuesday, February 15. Palacios will clash with a Cowboys squad coming off a 59-24 league win over Rice Consolidated (Altair, TX). The Cowboys record now stands at 17-11.
