Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Marion Patriots (Marion, AR) and the host Searcy Lions (Searcy, AR), saw Marion's basketball squad wallop Searcy by a tally of 64-40.
With the victory, Marion improves its record to 23-8 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to Batesville (Batesville, AR) to play the Pioneers in a 5A East challenge on Wednesday, February 16. The Pioneers come into the challenge with a record of 5-16. Batesville lost 57-37 in their recent league challenge against Paragould (Paragould, AR)
Next up, the Lions play the Greene County Tech Golden Eagles (Paragould, AR) in a 5A East challenge, on Tuesday, February 15. Searcy will attempt to improve on its 2-21 season record. The Golden Eagles come into the challenge with a 14-8 record after their 38-31 league loss to Jonesboro (Jonesboro, AR).
