Alaska High School Basketball - Buckland tops Aqqaluk

Buckland Belugas (Buckland, AK) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Aqqaluk Bears (Noorvik, AK), 68-54 in a league bout.

With the victory, Buckland upgrades its record to 5-6 on the campaign.

Next up, the Bears play the Napaaqtugmiut Lynx (Noatak, AK) in a 1A Northwest Arctic bout, on Friday, February 17. Aqqaluk will attempt to upgrade on its 6-3 season record. The Lynx come into the bout with a 8-4 record after their 68-21 league win over Davis-Romoth (Selawik, AK).
