King's Christian Academy (Callaway, MD) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North Lions (Laurel, MD), 47-43 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, King's Christian Academy upgrades its record to 9-10 on the campaign.

Next up, the Lions play the Crossland Cavaliers (Temple Hills, MD) in a Prince George's County 3A/2A/1A bout, on Monday, February 13. Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North will attempt to upgrade on its 8-7 season record. The Cavaliers come into the bout with a 0-15 record after their 44-22 league loss to Fairmont Heights (Capitol Heights, MD).
