The Mexico Tigers basketball team scored 42 points and held the visiting Phoenix Firebirds to 41 in the Tigers league triumph on Saturday.

The Tigers now sport a 17-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Marcellus for a Section 3 Liberty contest on Monday, February 13. Mexico will battle a Mustangs team coming off a 56-30 league win over Cazenovia (Cazenovia, NY). The Mustangs record now stands at 12-7.
