In Tuesday's league contest, the visiting Althoff Catholic Crusaders basketball team scored a close 1-0 win over the Maryville Christian Lions.

The Crusaders (24-4) will now prepare for their contest against Metro-East Lutheran (Edwardsville, IL). The Knights come into the Gateway contest with a 15-10 record. In their last contest, Metro-East Lutheran was tipped by Mater Dei (Breese, IL), 56-26, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Lions battle the Carlinville Cavaliers (Carlinville, IL) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, February 13. Maryville Christian will attempt to better on its 7-17 season record. The Cavaliers come into the contest with a 12-15 record after their 64-33 league win over Gillespie (Gillespie, IL).
