In Tuesday's league test, the Alton Redbirds (Alton, IL) basketball squad defeated the visiting Belleville East Lancers (Belleville, IL), by a final score of 61-47.

Next, the Redbirds clash with the Belleville West Maroons (Belleville, IL) in a Southwestern test, on Friday, February 14. Alton will attempt to upgrade on its 21-6 season record. The Maroons come into the test with a 13-13 record after their 80-76 league win over East St. Louis (East St. Louis, IL).

The Lancers (18-9) will now prepare for their test against O'Fallon (O'Fallon, IL). The Panthers come into the Southwestern test with a 7-20 record. In their last test, O'Fallon went down by Collinsville (Collinsville, IL), 62-47, in a league test.
