Whitewright Tigers (Whitewright, TX) boosters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the host Bland Tigers (Merit, TX), 58-51 in a league match.
With the victory, Whitewright upgrades its record to 27-4 on the year. The Tigers travel to Alvord (Alvord, TX) to face the Bulldogs in a non-league match on Tuesday, February 18. The Bulldogs enter the match with a record of 18-14.
The Tigers now sport a 18-16 record. They put it on the line next when they host Tom Bean for a 2A Region II District 14 match on Friday, February 14. Bland will face a Tomcats squad coming off a 36-33 league win over Celeste (Celeste, TX). The Tomcats record now stands at 17-13.
