In Tuesday's non-league contest, the visiting Cherokee Washington Braves basketball team scored a close 59-56 triumph over the Hinton Blackhawks.
The Braves (10-7) will now prepare for their contest against Alta-Aurelia (Alta, IA). The Warriors go into the non-league contest with a 4-18 record. In their last contest, Alta-Aurelia was tipped by Odebolt Arthur Battle Creek Ida Grove (Ida Grove, IA), 84-31, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Blackhawks battle the Sioux Central Rebels (Sioux Rapids, IA) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, February 13. Hinton will attempt to better on its 14-6 season record. The Rebels go into the contest with a 12-8 record after their 76-31 non-league loss to South O'Brien (Paullina, IA).
