In Tuesday's non-league contest, the visiting Grain Valley Eagles basketball team scored a good 52-40 triumph over the Platte County Pirates.
The Eagles (12-7) will now prepare for their contest against Belton (Belton, MO). The Pirates go into the Suburban - White contest with a 8-14 record. In their last contest, Belton topped Fort Osage (Independence, MO), 70-62, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Pirates battle the Truman Patriots (Independence, MO) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, February 13. Platte County will attempt to better on its 8-14 season record. The Patriots go into the contest with a 14-9 record after their 67-22 league win over Chrisman (Independence, MO).
