In Tuesday's league contest, the visiting Hobbton Wildcats basketball team scored a big 66-40 triumph over the Union Spartans.

The Wildcats (9-11) will now prepare for their contest against North Duplin (Calypso, NC). The Rebels go into the 1A Carolina contest with a 9-10 record. In their last contest, North Duplin smashed Rosewood (Goldsboro, NC), 56-50, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Spartans battle the Neuse Charter Cougars (Smithfield, NC) in a 1A Carolina contest, on Thursday, February 13. Union will attempt to better on its 3-17 season record. The Cougars go into the contest with a 11-12 record after their 73-48 league loss to Lakewood (Roseboro, NC).
