Kansas High School Basketball - Pittsburg holds off Independence

The Pittsburg Dragons basketball team scored 61 points and limited the visiting Independence Bulldogs to 58 in the Dragons league triumph on Tuesday.
The Dragons now possess a 7-8 record. They play next when they travel to Parsons for a Southeast Kansas game on Friday, February 14. Pittsburg will confront a Vikings team coming off a 70-62 league win over Labette County (Altamont, KS). The Vikings record now stands at 8-6.
With the loss, Independence drops to 6-9 on the year. The Bulldogs host Field Kindley (Coffeyville, KS) to face the Golden Tornado in a Southeast Kansas match on Friday, February 14. The Golden Tornado enter the match with a record of 7-4. Field Kindley won 78-53 in their recent non-league match against Columbus (Columbus, KS)
