North Carolina High School Basketball - North Rowan can't hold off Lexington

Lexington Yellowjackets (Lexington, NC) supporters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the host North Rowan Cavaliers (Spencer, NC), 66-60 in a league battle.

With the victory, Lexington advances its record to 12-9 on the year. The Yellowjackets host Northeast Guilford (McLeansville, NC) to meet the Rams in a non-league battle on Wednesday, February 12. The Rams enter the battle with a record of 16-5. Northeast Guilford won 83-50 in their recent league battle against Atkins (Winston-Salem, NC)

The Cavaliers now own a 14-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to West Rowan for a non-league battle on Wednesday, February 12. North Rowan will meet a Falcons squad coming off a 58-45 non-league win over East Rowan (Salisbury, NC). The Falcons record now stands at 8-14.

The North Rowan (Spencer, NC) varsity basketball team lost Tuesday's home conference game against Lexington Senior (Lexington, NC) by a score of 66-60.
