The Peoria Lions basketball team scored 77 points and limited the host Limestone Rockets to 50 in the Lions non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Lions now possess a 23-6 record. They play next when they travel to Urbana for a Big Twelve game on Friday, February 14. Peoria will confront a Tigers team coming off a 61-49 non-league loss to Mahomet-Seymour (Mahomet, IL). The Tigers record now stands at 7-15.

With the loss, Limestone falls to 11-15 on the campaign. The Rockets travel to Pekin (Pekin, IL) to confront the Dragons in a Mid-Illini game on Friday, February 14. The Dragons go into the game with a record of 9-16. Pekin lost 72-53 in their recent non-league game against Normal Community (Normal, IL)
