In Tuesday's league test, the Monticello Sages (Monticello, IL) basketball squad trounced the visiting Pontiac Indians (Pontiac, IL), by a score of 67-43.

Next, the Sages encounter the St. Thomas More Sabers (Champaign, IL) in a Illini Prairie test, on Friday, February 14. Monticello will attempt to improve on its 13-12 season record. The Sabers come into the test with a 10-17 record after their 50-44 league loss to Paxton-Buckley-Loda (Paxton, IL).

The Indians (9-17) will now prepare for their test against Rantoul (Rantoul, IL). The Eagles come into the Illini Prairie test with a 13-14 record. In their last test, Rantoul was routed by St. Joseph-Ogden (St. Joseph, IL), 77-55, in a league test.
