In Tuesday's league contest, the visiting Slater Wildcats basketball team scored a close 62-56 triumph over the New Franklin Bulldogs.

The Wildcats (14-4) will now prepare for their contest against Northeast (Cairo, MO). The Bearcats go into the Central contest with a 12-9 record. In their last contest, Northeast nipped Madison (Madison, MO), 74-7, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Bulldogs confront the Sturgeon Bulldogs (Sturgeon, MO) in a Central contest, on Friday, February 14. New Franklin will attempt to better on its 16-8 season record. The Bulldogs go into the contest with a 10-10 record after their 66-26 league win over Community (Laddonia, MO).
