Newton Eagles (Newton, IL) supporters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting Oblong/Hutsonville/Palestine (Oblong, IL), 49-35 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Newton advances its record to 8-16 on the year. The Eagles travel to Richland County (Olney, IL) to face the Tigers in a Little Illini match on Friday, February 14.
