Michigan High School Basketball - Hastings toppled by Western

Western Panthers (Parma, MI) boosters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting Hastings Saxons (Hastings, MI), 55-36 in a league match.

With the victory, Western upgrades its record to 16-1 on the year. The Panthers travel to Marshall (Marshall, MI) to face the Redhawks in a Interstate 8 match on Friday, February 14. The Redhawks enter the match with a record of 13-4. Marshall won 52-40 in their recent non-league match against Fowlerville (Fowlerville, MI)

The Saxons now sport a 4-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lee for a non-league match on Thursday, February 13. Hastings will face a Legends squad coming off a 36-22 non-league loss to Wellspring Prep (Grand Rapids, MI). The Legends record now stands at 0-14.
