North Carolina High School Basketball - Rocky River crushes Independence

February 11, 2025: Mint Hill, NC 28217

The Rocky River Ravens (Mint Hill, NC) basketball crushed the visiting Independence Patriots (Charlotte, NC), 61-24 in Tuesday's league bout.

The Ravens now possess a 14-7 record. They play next when they host West Mecklenburg for a non-league bout on Wednesday, February 12. Rocky River will play a Hawks team coming off a 86-7 league loss to Mallard Creek (Charlotte, NC). The Hawks record now stands at 3-17.

With the loss, Independence falls to 1-21 on the campaign. The Patriots host Butler (Matthews, NC) to play the Bulldogs in a 4A Southwestern bout on Friday, February 14. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 20-2. Butler lost 60-54 in their recent non-league bout against Legion Collegiate Academy (Rock Hill, SC)
