The Messmer Bishops basketball squad (Milwaukee, WI), was crushed 58-37 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Luther Prep Phoenix (Watertown, WI)
With the victory, Luther Prep advances its record to 18-3 on the year. The Phoenix host Lake Country Lutheran (Hartland, WI) to meet the Lightning in a Midwest Classic battle on Friday, February 14. The Lightning enter the battle with a record of 16-4.
The Bishops now own a 15-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Living Word Lutheran for a Midwest Classic battle on Thursday, February 13. Messmer will meet a Timberwolves squad coming off a 61-50 non-league loss to Poynette (Poynette, WI). The Timberwolves record now stands at 13-7.
