In Tuesday's non-league contest, the host Marion Wildcats basketball team scored a big 64-40 triumph over the Massac County Patriots.

The Wildcats now possess a 16-8 record. They play next when they host Cahokia for a South Seven bout on Thursday, February 13. Marion will play a Comanches team coming off a 47-6 league loss to Carbondale (Carbondale, IL). The Comanches record now stands at 1-20.

With the loss, Massac County falls to 11-17 on the campaign. The Patriots host Frankfort (West Frankfort, IL) to play the Redbirds in a non-league bout on Thursday, February 13. The Redbirds go into the bout with a record of 15-15. Frankfort won 65-23 in their recent non-league bout against Century (Ullin, IL)
