North Carolina High School Basketball - Pender holds off West Columbus

February 11, 2025: Cerro Gordo, NC 28430

The Pender Patriots basketball team scored 37 points and limited the host West Columbus Vikings to 31 in the Patriots league triumph on Tuesday.

The Patriots now have a 4-11 record. They play next when they host Heide Trask for a 1A/2A Waccamaw game on Friday, February 14. Pender will confront a Titans team coming off a 48-26 league win over West Columbus (Cerro Gordo, NC). The Titans record now stands at 10-13.

With the loss, West Columbus falls to 2-16 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Heide Trask (Rocky Point, NC) to confront the Titans in a 1A/2A Waccamaw game on Wednesday, February 12. The Titans go into the game with a record of 9-12. Heide Trask won 41-20 in their recent league game against South Columbus (Tabor City, NC)
