North Carolina High School Basketball - Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy knocks off Shelby

In Tuesday's league contest, the host Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy Gryphons basketball team scored a good 62-45 win over the Shelby Golden Lions.

The Gryphons (16-6) will now prepare for their contest against Cherryville (Cherryville, NC). The Ironmen come into the 1A/2A Southern Piedmont contest with a 9-13 record. In their last contest, Cherryville dropped by Bessemer City (Bessemer City, NC), 63-31, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Golden Lions battle the Burns Bulldogs (Lawndale, NC) in a 1A/2A Southern Piedmont contest, on Friday, February 14. Shelby will attempt to better on its 15-8 season record. The Bulldogs come into the contest with a 15-8 record after their 69-11 league win over Cherryville (Cherryville, NC).
