The Vinita Hornets toppled the host Verdigris Cardinals basketball team by a tally of 55-43 in Tuesday's league game.
The Hornets now possess a 15-7 record. They play next when they travel to Grove for a non-league game on Saturday, February 15. Vinita will confront a Ridgerunners team coming off a 68-24 non-league loss to Locust Grove (Locust Grove, OK). The Ridgerunners record now stands at 7-8.
With the loss, Verdigris moves to 6-12 on the season. The Cardinals travel to Inola (Inola, OK) to clash with the Longhorns in a Verdigris Valley outing on Thursday, February 13.
