In Tuesday's non-league contest, the host Nansemond River Warriors basketball team scored a good 55-43 triumph over the Western Branch Bruins.
The Warriors (12-6) will now prepare for their contest against King's Fork (Suffolk, VA). The Bulldogs go into the non-league contest with a 16-0 record. In their last contest, King's Fork topped Hickory (Chesapeake, VA), 81-42, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Bruins confront the Lakeland Cavaliers (Suffolk, VA) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, February 13. Western Branch will attempt to better on its 11-7 season record. The Cavaliers go into the contest with a 3-12 record after their 47-36 non-league loss to Grassfield (Chesapeake, VA).
