The Washburn Castle Guards basketball team scored 78 points and held the visiting Butternut Midgets to 19 in the Castle Guards league triumph on Monday.

The Castle Guards now sport a 16-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Chequamegon for a non-league contest on Tuesday, February 13. Washburn will meet a Screaming Eagles team coming off a 67-63 non-league loss to Goodman-Pembine (Goodman, WI). The Screaming Eagles record now stands at 3-17.

The Midgets (0-19) will now prepare for their contest against Bayfield (Bayfield, WI). The Trollers enter the Northern Lights contest with a 6-11 record. In their last contest, Bayfield was routed by Mellen (Mellen, WI), 68-55, in a league contest.
