Goshen Central Gladiators (Goshen, NY) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Minisink Valley Warriors (Slate Hill, NY), 42-41 in a league bout.

With the victory, Goshen Central upgrades its record to 5-13 on the campaign. The Gladiators host Cornwall Central (New Windsor, NY) to play the Dragons in a Section 9 Orange County II bout on Thursday, February 15. The Dragons come into the bout with a record of 10-8. Cornwall Central lost 60-59 in their recent league bout against Monticello (Monticello, NY)

Next up, the Warriors play the Monroe-Woodbury Crusaders (Central Valley, NY) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 15. Minisink Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 3-16 season record. The Crusaders come into the bout with a 14-5 record after their 68-57 league loss to Newburgh Free Academy (Newburgh, NY).
