North Carolina High School Basketball - Monroe falls to Weddington

February 12, 2024: Monroe, NC 28112

In Monday's non-league match, the visiting Weddington Warriors basketball team scored a good 57-39 triumph over the Monroe Redhawks.

In their next game, the Warriors meet the Marvin Ridge Mavericks (Waxhaw, NC) in a 4A Southern Carolina match, on Friday, February 16. Weddington will attempt to move on its 22-1 season record. The Mavericks enter the match with a 15-8 record after their 74-55 league win over Sun Valley (Monroe, NC).

With the defeat, Monroe moves to 9-7 on the year. The Redhawks travel to Central Academy (Monroe, NC) to meet the Cougars in a 2A/3A Rocky River match on Tuesday, February 13. The Cougars enter the match with a record of 3-19. Central Academy lost 69-33 in their recent league match against Forest Hills (Marshville, NC)
