Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Union Parish Farmers (Farmerville, LA) and the visiting Sterlington Panthers (Sterlington, LA), saw Union Parish's basketball squad hold off Sterlington by a tally of 53-49.

With the victory, Union Parish improves its record to 11-10 on the campaign. The Farmers travel to Wossman (Monroe, LA) to confront the Wildcats in a 3A District 1 challenge on Tuesday, February 13. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 30-3. Wossman won 71-68 in their recent non-league challenge against Carroll (Monroe, LA)

Next up, the Panthers confront the St. Frederick Warriors (Monroe, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, February 16. Sterlington will attempt to improve on its 16-14 season record.
