The Alleghany Cougars (Covington, VA) basketball felled the visiting Radford Bobcats (Radford, VA), 53-45 in Monday's league test.
The Cougars (17-6) will now prepare for their test against Spotswood (Penn Laird, VA). The Trailblazers go into the non-league test with a 17-7 record. In their last test, Spotswood thwarted Turner Ashby (Bridgewater, VA), 37-33, in a league test.
The Bobcats now own a 5-16 record. They play next when they host Floyd County for a Three Rivers test on Tuesday, February 13. Radford will encounter a Buffaloes squad coming off a 53-46 league win over Alleghany (Covington, VA). The Buffaloes record now stands at 14-6.
