Genesee Valley Jaguars (Belmont, NY) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Cuba-Rushford Rebels (Cuba, NY), 46-33 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Genesee Valley upgrades its record to 13-4 on the season.

Next up, the Rebels play the Fillmore Eagles (Fillmore, NY) in a Section 5 Allegany bout, on Tuesday, February 13. Cuba-Rushford will attempt to upgrade on its 5-13 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 18-2 record after their 74-23 league win over Bolivar-Richburg (Bolivar, NY).
