Mercyhurst Prep Lakers (Erie, PA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting North East Grape Pickers (North East, PA), 57-38 in a league bout.

With the win, Mercyhurst Prep upgrades its record to 18-3 on the season. The Lakers host Eisenhower (Russell, PA) to play the Knights in a District 10 Region 3 bout on Thursday, February 15. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 10-10. Eisenhower won 57-10 in their recent league bout against Titusville (Titusville, PA)

Next up, the Grape Pickers play the Girard Yellowjackets (Girard, PA) in a District 10 Region 3 bout, on Thursday, February 15. North East will attempt to upgrade on its 12-7 season record. The Yellowjackets go into the bout with a 3-14 record after their 48-18 league win over Iroquois (Erie, PA).
