In Monday's league outing, the Port Jefferson Royals (Port Jefferson, NY) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Shelter Island Islanders (Shelter Island, NY), by a margin of 54-27.
The Royals (5-12) will now prepare for their outing against Pierson/Bridgehampton (Sag Harbor, NY). The Whalers go into the Section 11 A/B/C/D-7 outing with a 7-5 record.
